The Tips for International Travel section is compiled by our professional staff and changes frequently. I encourage you to review it often - particularly when you are planning your journey and again just before you depart. If you have a suggestion for the list, feel free to contact Dr. Thompson at rthompson@wellontheroad.com. Any time there is new information regarding immunizations, medications, or travel-related products that I feel may be of interest to our travelers, it will be in the What's New section.

The physicians at the Travel Clinic make every attempt to minimize your risk of contracting travel-related illnesses that could escalate into major medical emergencies. Every traveler seeking pre-travel consultation receives a weekly updated country-specific printout for their country of destination as well as a copy of my book, Well on the Road - A Practical Guide for the International Traveler, 2008. Of course, an immunization schedule will be developed and appropriate prescriptions will be written at the time of your visit. We have introduced the concept of telephone consultations, when appropriate, for international travelers. In addition, our physicians are available to conduct teaching sessions or to create medical programs for almost any occupational or travel situation.
